Mums Fall Color
Grosh’s Lawn Service Tip of the Week # 493 for September 24, 2024
Many of our clients are thinking about fall décor and mums this time of year. Can I plant my mums in the ground? If so, will it come back next year?
Most mums are bred for large, showy blooms and uniform habits. However, they are not bred for hardiness. If you plant them, they will likely die.
A few gardeners are interested in the genuinely hardy mums. These mums have smaller flowers and tend not to be as uniform. However, they come back reliably year after year.
