God Bless America!
It’s July, and with it comes all of those fun summer activities and gatherings that we love. This time last year, most of us were staying home with little contact outside of our own households, and this year things are starting to open up again! We hope you’re enjoying time with family and those get-togethers that we missed last July.
And speaking of get-togethers, be sure to set aside some time to celebrate this Sunday, July 4! We live in a great country and are grateful for our freedoms.

Fall Aeration
Even though it’s summer, now’s the time to email us to schedule your fall lawn tasks like fertilizing and aeration. Now, many people know to fertilize their lawns, but not everyone knows the value of properly aerating them. Aeration opens the soil up to air, water, and nutrients, leading to a healthier lawn — and the fall is a perfect time to do this.
Much To Do
Whether it’s the lawn or your garden, do you ever catch yourself looking around and thinking, “There’s just too much to do?” Well, it’s a good thing you know us! Don’t be shy; pick up the phone and let us know how we can help you — all you have to do is ask. And if you have a sneaking feeling that you’re just not on top of something in your yard (but aren’t quite sure what), we’ll help you there, too.

Reminder to Water Those Plants!
This is the time of year when plants really need adequate watering, especially when we haven’t had rain in a bit or if we’re in a little period of drought. Be prepared to give your plants (particularly newly planted ones) a bit of extra water during these hot summer months—and remember, it’s much better to water deeply but less often than simply sprinkle your plants every day.
Shrub Trimming
We’ve talked about shrub trimming in the last couple of newsletters, and it’s because this is the time of year that plants are actively growing, so your shrubs can quickly and easily get out of shape. Don’t fret about the how or the when, just give us a call and we’ll take care of it for you!
Enjoy a Fire Ring
Right now you might be thinking that the summer heat has touched us. Why on earth would you want to add a fire ring when it’s so hot outside? But stop and think about all the things you might do year-round with a fire ring:
- Summer cookouts and s’mores
- Fall bonfires with harvest foods
- Cozy winter gatherings enjoying hot beverages
- Spring evenings when you don’t want to leave the garden
We can make it happen for you; just give us a ring (sorry, we couldn’t help the pun). And hey, if you’d like to see one of our fire rings, check out our YouTube video!
Spruce Up Your Curb Appeal
If you are looking for that WOW factor at your home, office, or commercial property, let us work our magic. From removing old, ugly plants to adding landscape beds with fresh, healthy flowers, shrubs, and trees, we’ll update your front yard so you’ll be proud every time you drive up.
Summer Mulching
Because summer is so hot and often dry, it’s essential to keep your soil moist so it doesn’t dry out and damage your plants. The best way to do this is to keep an even layer of mulch in your landscape beds—and if that sounds like too much work, no problem! That’s why you have us on speed dial. We’ll get those beds mulched so your soil stays moist and keeps those weeds at bay.
Bug Alert
Be on the Lookout for Bagworms
As much as we love July, bagworms love it, too—and they can really damage your trees and shrubs. These pesky critters will eat your trees and shrubs and, if left untreated, could actually kill them. Let us stay on top of that for you! Better to be proactive than to lose your valuable landscape plants, right?
